FIELD AGENTS FOR THE FEDERAL COMMUNICATION COMMISIONS’ AFFORDABLE CONNECTIVITY PROGRAM (ACP)
Recognizing the important benefits associated with phone access and concerned that low-income households may not be able to afford phone service on their own, the federal government created the Lifeline Assistance program in 1985. Consumers who qualified based on federal or state-specific eligibility criteria could obtain discounted or free phone service through the Lifeline Assistance program.
Following the events of COVID-19 the federal government created the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The ACP ensures that qualified individuals have access to free or low-cost tablets, computers, internet or Wi-Fi service Our partners, are looking for Field Agents to collect data, provide excellent customer service and meet quotas.
Agents will help identify consumer qualifications, distribute and answer questions about the products and services and recommend solutions. As a Lifeline Agent, you play a crucial role in getting these services and devices into the hands of the people who really need them.
Agents will be enrolling new consumers at sidewalk tents, special events, and targeted locations. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential consumer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make consumers feel welcome will stand out.
